Since retiring from playing competitive Rugby, I have been looking for a competitive challenge, so I decided to try this program out. I really didn’t know much about it, other than what I saw on TV. I went in there thinking I was in decent shape, but after that first workout, I knew I needed work but I was hooked. Vadim laid out a whole workout plan for me so I can work my way up to the classes. They stress safety and proper technique more than anything when it comes to training and after a couple of weeks I graduated into classes. I missed the excitement of the game and having the proper training and Noskov Fitness brings that to every workout. The coaches are top notch and know exactly how to motivate you. They care about you and want you to do your best no matter your skill level. All the members accepted me like their own from day 1. You can’t ask to be around a better group of people.
I highly recommend Noskov Fitness and if your on the fence or intimidated by it, don’t be. You’ll be amazed at things you are able accomplish here and Vadim and team will guide you all the way.
Seriously the best gym ever!! I'm so grateful that I found them. I've been coming here for about a year now. The trainers Vadim and Olga are extremely knowledgeable, caring, and trustworthy. I've had experiences in the past where I didn't feel my trainer cared enough about my safety and performance, and that is very important to me because I've had back issues.
I have always wanted to try Crossfit- I heard great things about it and I wanted to do it, but felt I wasn't in good enough shape. Anyone can do it! The trainers help you and modify the workout for you personally. After a few personal sessions with Vadim where he taught me some basic techniques, I felt ready to join them! I'm so happy I did. It changed my life. My lifestyle is so much healthier now.
I love all the workouts! It is a great community and I love my gym family. They also make you feel very welcome, which makes me even more motivated to get to the gym on those days I'm feeling lazy.
WOW.. Three years ago today I walked into this gym, I can still remember my first workout like it was yesterday! Thank you to all the coaches, members & friends I’ve met along the way with helping excel my fitness. It’s been a great ride so far and look forward to continuing my journey with Noskov Fitness and helping others achieve similar goals!
“I am so happy, and want to thank you, Olga and Vadim for being a big part of this: BP 116/60 (lower) cholesterol <200 (lower), normal triglyc., Hdl, ldl, , better thyroid, calcium, vit D, normal CBC, no proteinuria, normal OCT, normal vision, no glaucome or.cataracts, better retinopathy... and in addition to the 37 years w diabetes I have a history of high BP and stroke in my family - at my age or younger. Another reason to be so happy! It is wonderful to be coached and inspired by you and Vadim.”
What a difference... 2011 at the old box, starting out… and yesterday, juggling the same atlas stone!
Vadim changed my life, simple as that. I walked into Noskov Fitness Crossfit LIC almost 5 years ago at 220 and smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. I haven't smoked since and am a lean mean 190! I had been on and off at the gym for 10 years since graduating college after a prosperous athletic career. Each break lasted longer until I realized I needed to find a program and experience that worked better for me. Crossfit and Vadim were the answer. He motivated me and helped me regain my competitive spirit. I recommend his coaching to anyone looking for a change in lifestyle for the better.
My training at this gym has been transformative, humiliating, and, more importantly, has significantly diminished my wife's fears of finding me home fat and dead. If I am found dead, at least I won't be fat.
I just moved into the area and was looking for a new gym. I signed up for the introduction class/es. I knew from the moment I walked into this gym and met Vadim that this gym was different and I instantly knew I was signing up. It had to do with the fact that I was not allowed to just jump into a workout here. Vadim the owner wanted to ensure I had the basic movements down and he was able to gauge my performance. Having not done crossfit or anything really for several months I lost some range of motion, mobility, flexibility,… My focus was also on running, swimming and biking for better part of the year. He ran through all the movements but also designed some mini workouts around me and my capabilities at the time. This observation and instruction period allowed me to ease back into training and for a program to be developed around me to minimize risk of injury. Just as an example the range of motion in my shoulders prevented me from doing full kettlebell swings or snatches initially even though I did this a million times before. This is important when selecting a gym. You don’t want to just jump in. Once I graduated from this mini instruction the other coaches knew exactly what to look for and how to instruct and scale workouts properly towards me. I quickly gained back what I lost and was suddenly setting new goals for myself. The coaches are all great and more then willing to listen to your goals and help you get there. They are not shy either about stopping you and coaching you in the middle of a workout. On a side note if your reading these reviews you should know this is not just a gym and a place to workout. In no time at all you will make friends and think of this place as an extension of your own home.
Started working out with Vadim and Olga over a year ago as a cross training regimen to my running. I took some private classes while training for the Boston Marathon and Vadim helped me with agility drills, core and upper body strength. He not only helped me with cross training but he actually practiced what he preached and ran the NYC Half Marathon. Its great to have a coach that understands all aspects of training for specific sports and helps you accomplish your goals. I highly recommend Noskov Fitness and so happy to have found a great place to workout and make new friends.
As an athlete and a NJ State record holder in two lifts with the World Natural Powerlifting Federation, I have over 4 years experience with other CrossFits. In my opinion this gym is top notch. The programming is well thought out, the coaches are fantastic and pay great attention to detail, the facility is laid out perfectly, and the other members are friendly and lots of fun. I cannot recommend Noskov Fitness highly enough!
The box has been my CrossFit home January and I could not hve asked for more. Even though I still struggle with english, everyone is helpful and pacient and I trully beleive we have formed a community. The programing and coaching are top notch and have put me in the best form I have ever been. I have lost count of how many PRs I have reached at Noskov and my improvement remains constant. I wholeheartedly recomend them to anyone with an interest in CrossFit. (watch video)
As someone who used to pick the hidden elliptical in the corner, and never so much as took a zumba or spin class in my life because of the fear of other people watching me work out, Crossfit was about as far out of my comfort zone as I could go. But one day in November, I took the plunge and walked into my very first Foundations class and have been hooked ever since.
Every coach knows every member by name...even every member knows every other member by name! This is not just a gym, this is a community, one that welcomes you with open arms. The coaches are super helpful in providing scaling options, but will also push you to try harder than you thought you were capable of (and usually, they're right to do so!).
I truly don't even have the words for what a wonderful place this is - the workouts are hard but rewarding, the space is large and accommodating, the coaches are wonderful, the people who workout here make this place something special... seriously, this is the BEST GYM.
This was the 6 week challenge that changed my life! I have to be honest When I bumped into this ad for the first time I was so skeptical! I didn't know if this would be right for me as I don't like working out in front of other people and wasn't comfortable about my weight or my appearance! But let me tell you this has been one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I started the challenge in August 2016 and I continue to attend this gym today. At Noskov fitness we are more than just a gym... we are a little family. Vadim Noskov and Olga Jourova are just completely amazing! Not only are they knowledgeable but they take the time to get to know you, they make you comfortable and make sure you are achieving your goals and that you are happy! And when you plateau because who doesn't? They are right there to pick you back up and push you harder! Going to this gym is honestly the highlight of my day. I never thought I would say that! Anyhow if you are looking for something different, fun, exciting and not a quick fix I highly recommend you try this challenge!
The owner *really* cares about his gym. He's very, very, very exacting of his coaches, and takes it very personally when clients don't get results. He calls me and pesters me about food and attendance, and that's exactly what I need. I am not a sporty guy, but he helped me find something I'm actually good at. The people here are universally friendly, cooperative and encouraging. They have a saying that "fish rots from the head down," meaning that the organization reflects the foibles, failings and character of the head of the organization. The same is true in reverse: this gym is great because of its owner.
It's not just competitive athletes who want to take it up a notch, it's a lot of moms and dads and office workers who are tired of being flabby and tired.
For those of you scared of starting CF, I am no gymrat. They started me "slow-and-safe." Some places will just throw you in the ocean and expect you to swim. That's how you tear something only surgery can correct. Trust them if they want you to go slow.
I'm very happy to be there. It's worth every penny. I am a very busy man, with two kids and three jobs, and I don't want to slow down now that I'm in my late forties. Vadim and Olga have kept me supple and strong. I can still lift and throw those kids, bend and stretch, push and pull, and do all the things I should be able to do. I was never an athlete, always the slow fat one. But now I'm more robust than a lot of people my age. And other problems, like depression and ADD have waned too. CrossFit is an important part of my life, and I would trust my body with too many people besides Noskov Fitness.
The coaches at Noskov Fitness are extremely responsive to anybody's individual fitness goals. They make you work hard, but you feel the payoffs and most of all they are some of the most supportive people I've ever met.
I don't even know where to begin. I am so thankful for Vadim and Olga. This gym experience has been changing my lifestyle in so many positive ways. I was always interested in CrossFit, but was too nervous to give it a try...I didn't feel like I was "fit" enough. When I first met with Vadim for a consultation, I felt very comfortable. We spoke about some of my goals and he was very encouraging. I've been going to Noskov for about 6 months now and I lovvvve it!!! Vadim and Olga are very caring and educated trainers. I trust them and feel they always make sure I'm training correctly so I'm safe and don't hurt myself. It's also exciting to be part of a healthy community. My nutrition has been so much better as well. I always have a new goal! I highly recommend this gym!!! 💜💪
I feel very very lucky to have found Olga as a personal trainer and would be happy to recommend her. It's still early in my training but I'm seeing some results already and that is exciting. I think with more time I'll be able to say more about what specifically is the best part of the training but right now I appreciate the understanding of my needs because I am a specific age and have specific health concerns. Most trainers don't understand that and treat everyone like a 20 year old who is simply lazy. I also like the support without being condescending. And the fact that there is something new intermittently, so I don't get to tired of the same thing which is easy with workouts.
I am happy I found you guys and I have brought my family with me. As a person with many previous injuries I feel safe in your space to push my limits with your guidance. I would recommend this gym to anyone.
As a person who has been injured and has had many surgeries, I have been searching for a good place to train and I have tried everything, yoga, pilates, MMA, Martial Arts, Boxing, and basic personal training over a five year period. These guys beat them all. The environment is healthy, (which in NYC can be pretty insane, there are some scary people out there) they really know what they are doing, and they are very careful with my injuries but help me believe in myself. I feel happy when I leave and I have seen the results I want. They require you to do a period of personal training to learn the heavy lifts ahead of time and from what I know about training this is imperative to not become injured in the long run. From my experience, you may save money elsewhere at first but you will pay for it in injuries from people who don’t care and who are not careful. You get here way more than you pay for. Plus, they really work hard, train hard, and care about what they do. (watch video)
