Our Fundamentals program is a specifically designed for those new to CrossFit and strength training, to make sure you can execute movements soundly and efficiently. You'll learn the basic movements and as you demonstrate proficiency, we'll add on appropriate intensity and complexity.
You will start slowly, 1 on 1 with a coach. We will keep the weights low and the movements simple. As you get stronger, the coaches will help you progress in weight and skills. Our members range in age from 4 to 74, and the workouts are always adjusted to YOUR level of fitness. Book your FREE Consultation and we will talk about your background and your goals and see if we are a good fit.
Your fitness level does not determine your success at Noskov Fitness. Our most successful members started with no skills at all, and worked every day to get better. Over time, they are doing things they never dreamed possible... seriously. (Vadim lost 6 belt sizes and over 50 lbs doing CrossFit, and kept it off for the last 10+ years)
Your attitude is so much more important than your waistline.
You will finish last sometimes, but the sooner you realize that this is not important and that everyone is here to make you better, the faster you will get fit.
Our FREE Consultation is a great way to find out if this is right for you... book one and find out!
First, check with your doctor if you have injuries or medical conditions. We are not doctors and don't pretend to be.
That said, we work with/around various injuries and medical conditions. We have lots of people with past injuries (or current injuries) that we work with, from mild knee, hip, back and shoulder injuries to severely shattered bones and surgeries of all sorts.
Movement is almost ALWAYS preferable to sitting around and doing nothing... come talk to us and see if we can work with/around your conditions/challenges.
Side note: our recommendation in talking to doctors, to ask the following: “Dear awesome Doctor. I want to stay very active, as in - run, jump and lift weights, play different sports, do Obstacle Course races, throw my kids/grandchildren up in the air, chase them around the backyard, hike the mountains and do various other adventure trips… What is your recommendation?”
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Since then it has evolved to be an all inclusive fitness program for people of any athletic capability. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, sports, and life all reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our armed forces, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
In short, yes CrossFit can be dangerous. But so can riding your bike or driving your car. With poor coaching, careless programming of workouts, and careless technique, it can be dangerous, for sure! This is why we start you with the basics, teach you proper technique, and bring you along slowly. It's also why we focus on improving your flexibility and strength over time. If you take the time to learn it the RIGHT WAY it's safer than going to the regular gym and lifting with no coaching and a LOT safer than what most people do for fitness (running injuries anyone?).
The experienced and proven CrossFit coaches you’ll find at Noskov Fitness will ensure that you’re training in the safest most effective and efficient way possible.
Have you done CrossFit before in a private or group setting? Fantastic! You might be ready to jump right in. Every CrossFit gym is different though, with a wide variety of coaching styles and movement standards. Experiences vary, so we'd love to schedule a free consultation with you to learn more about your goals and answer any questions you may have for us.
